No trip to East Texas would be complete without stopping by Gilmer in Upshur County. Gilmer hosts the annual East Texas Yamboree, is just six miles from one of the largest off-road motorized trails in the nation at Barnwell Mountain operated by the Texas Motorized Trails Coalition, and four miles from Lake Gilmer. Gilmer is also just minutes from other great fishing and boating lakes such as Lake O’ Pines and Lake Gladewater.  Gilmer also offers hours of entertainment throughout the year with rodeos, bull riding, horseback and trail rides.  Upshur County is also home of some of the top horse breeders in the state.  One of the oldest log cabins still in existence in the state is preserved in Gilmer.Map is full color, double sided 24" X 36" 2006 version available folded or flat.
